THE 5 GREAT UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

1. Is Dumbledore dead?

Although scholars have argued both sides of the question with Talmudic rigor, the overwhelming consensus is that he's down for the count. But the afterlife is a mysterious thing in Harry Potter, and Dumbledore may yet have a role to play.

2. So who else dies?

"There are deaths, more deaths, coming."These are Rowling's words, so we know she won't be merciful, nor will Voldemort. "We are dealing with pure evil here!"

3. Is Snape really evil?

Well, he's clearly not very nice, and he's working both sides of the street. And he killed Dumbledore. But where do his real loyalties lie? Does even he know? Its questions like this that make Snape Rowling's richest creation.

4. Ron and Hermione, sittin' in a tree...

They flirted and fought through five books, but by the end of Half-blood prince, we knew for sure: its on. The only question left is, Do they both survive?

5. Harry vs. Voldemort: who wins, and how?

Prophecies, Horcruxes, R.A.B., Wormtail...the tea leaves are really scrambled on this one. Which is as it should be. But we know this: although they're enemies, Harry and Voldemort are so intimately linked that when one triumphs over the other, he will surely lose something in the process. The victory, when it comes, won't be a simple one.

Its quite amusing. Actually I thought it was scary the theme of Potter deviated so badly. I mean, in the first and second and third book maybe it was still kind of fluffy. Once the goblet of fire came, everything darkened. Order of Phoenix made it a dark fantasy genre already. I don't know. I suppose its 'DEEPER' and loads of stuff but I somehow prefer the more innocent versions. Dark Magic...its just something thats so oft repeated you get sick of it. Where did innocent magic go? Where did soothing fantasy go? Is the world so bleak even our imagined world must be as bleak? I thought the creation of parallel universes was to create a little republic of heaven so that we can dwell in oh...much nicer thoughts.

Oh my..sudden burst of inspiration. A pity I didn't have that during CTs.
